Autumn Fair 2026 Partners With Whatnot to Bring Live Selling to the NEC

Autumn Fair 2026 is partnering with Whatnot to give retailers, brands and resellers a hands-on look at live commerce. Throughout the four-day show at Birmingham’s NEC, Whatnot sellers will broadcast live from a dedicated studio inside The Clubhouse, while visitors will be able to meet the team, watch experienced sellers and try live selling for themselves.

For UK resellers, the partnership is another sign that live selling is moving further into mainstream retail.

What is Whatnot doing at Autumn Fair 2026?

Whatnot will create a working live-commerce studio inside The Clubhouse in Hall 9.

Rather than operating as a conventional exhibition stand, sellers will go live directly from the space, giving visitors the opportunity to see how products are presented, how sellers interact with viewers and how a live show operates in real time.

Visitors will also be able to meet the Whatnot team and learn more about getting started on the platform.

It is a practical approach to introducing retailers to live commerce. Watching an experienced seller work a room can often explain the format far better than simply hearing about it in a presentation.

Why is Whatnot appearing at Autumn Fair?

Whatnot has expanded rapidly in the UK, which has become one of the platform’s most established markets outside the US.

The company says UK sales have grown significantly year on year, alongside substantial increases in both sellers and first-time buyers.

Autumn Fair, meanwhile, is one of the UK’s major retail sourcing events, bringing together thousands of buyers and hundreds of brands across categories including home, gift and fashion.

That makes the partnership particularly interesting.

Traditionally, a reseller might attend Autumn Fair to discover products, meet wholesalers and identify new suppliers. This year, they can also see one of the fastest-growing methods of selling those products in action.

Can visitors try selling on Whatnot?

Yes.

On Monday 7 September, The Clubhouse will host a Whatnot Takeover After Party from 4pm until 8pm.

Visitors will have the opportunity to try live selling themselves with one-to-one support from the Whatnot team.

There will also be food, drinks and a DJ, creating a more informal environment for retailers, exhibitors and sellers to meet and discuss the platform.

For somebody considering their first Whatnot show, having the opportunity to try the format with support could be particularly useful.

Why should UK resellers pay attention to Autumn Fair?

Autumn Fair has always been primarily about sourcing.

For resellers, that means finding new products, meeting suppliers and understanding which categories could perform well during the important final quarter of the year.

Whatnot’s presence adds another dimension.

Live selling can change the way a reseller thinks about stock. A product that works particularly well on a live stream may be visually interesting, easy to demonstrate, available at the right buying price and capable of being sold quickly in volume.

That means sourcing decisions are increasingly connected to the way the stock will eventually be sold.

A reseller visiting Autumn Fair could therefore speak to suppliers during the day and, within the same venue, watch similar products being demonstrated and sold to an online audience.

That crossover between sourcing and live selling is what makes this partnership particularly relevant.

When is Autumn Fair 2026?

Autumn Fair takes place from 6–9 September 2026 at the NEC Birmingham.

Whatnot will be based in The Clubhouse throughout the event, with the dedicated Takeover After Party taking place on Monday 7 September.

For UK resellers already using Whatnot, or those considering their first live show, Autumn Fair could offer something slightly different this year: the opportunity to explore sourcing and live selling in the same place.

For an industry increasingly shaped by the relationship between stock, audience and speed of sale, that is worth paying attention to.
