With Korean skincare now available through Boots, Superdrug, Sephora, TikTok Shop and countless online sellers, it would be easy to assume that the opportunity has already passed. But the latest evidence suggests K-beauty is not reaching saturation—it is moving into its next stage of growth.
Boots reported a fivefold increase in K-beauty sales, with one Korean skincare product selling every 11 seconds during 2025. TikTok Shop UK also recorded a 60% year-on-year increase in beauty sales, identifying K-beauty, live shopping and educational content as important drivers.
That matters because saturation normally means demand is flattening while too many sellers chase the same customers. Here, demand is still growing, major retailers are expanding their ranges and specialist K-beauty stores are opening in new UK locations.
The opportunity is moving—not disappearing
The most recognisable products from brands such as COSRX and Beauty of Joseon may now face heavy competition. But K-beauty is much larger than a handful of viral products.
New ingredients, formats and emerging brands continually refresh the market. Toner pads, hydrogel masks, barrier-care products and PDRN treatments have all attracted attention, while Korean haircare, fragrance and pharmacy-inspired beauty are expected to become more visible during 2026.
For resellers, the opportunity is increasingly about discovering what customers will want next, rather than competing solely on products they already recognise.
K-beauty is also well suited to live and social selling. Textures can be demonstrated, ingredients explained and products combined into routines or starter bundles. Good sellers can provide the guidance and personal recommendations that a crowded product page cannot.
The market is becoming more competitive, but that is not the same as becoming exhausted. With expanding UK demand, constant product innovation and growing global appeal, there is still room for resellers who source genuine, compliant stock and introduce customers to more than yesterday’s viral bestseller. There also opportunities to create your own brand with popular, tried and tested ingredients commonly found in K-Beauty products.
